  • Endymion, Bacchus, and Rex parades are the grandest

⚜ Crowd Tips

St. Charles Ave is family-friendly. Bourbon Street gets very rowdy. The Uptown parades offer a great balance of spectacle and comfort. Book rooms along the parade route.

LSU Game Day Experience

An LSU home game at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge is unlike any other sporting event in America. With 102,321 seats (the 5th largest stadium in the world), purple-and-gold clad fans, and a tailgating culture that begins at sunrise, it's as much a cultural event as a sporting one.

  • Home games are typically September through November on Saturdays
  • Night games are called "Death Valley After Dark" — particularly electric
  • Campus tailgating begins at 8am on game days — it's a full festival
  • Book accommodation in Baton Rouge 4–6 months ahead for big games
  • Purple and gold attire is strongly encouraged (and fun)
